The Feast

Hi! How are ya?

I'm participating in a poem-a-week challenge. Last week's word was "splash." I tried writing a whimsical poem about mermaids,

but this is what came out instead:

THE FEAST
Ā
When day turns night
and light turns grey,
a vampire sneaks
upon his prey.
A silent lunge.
A toothy gash.
The blood drops seep.
Drip. Dribble. Splash.
The vampire sucks
the body dry
then ambles home
too full to fly.

Sooooo....that's how I'm doing.

But I had a lot of fun writing it and hope someone enjoys reading it.

1) Do something for yourself

2) Do something for someone else

3) Don't kill anyone
