I'm going to let you in on two little secrets:
Secret 1: When I started dating my husband, we had the following conversation...
Me: I don't like bacon.
Him: Yes you do.
He was right! I love bacon!
(But unlike Homer, I also like bananas.)
Secret 2: I didn't think I liked poems. I thought they were all heavy and dark and in old timey language that I didn't understand. But I knew I liked Shel Silverstein. Those poems were different - they were fun and silly and nonsensical.
But in the past couple years I found out I LOVE poems - especially the ones that are fun and silly and nonsensical, AND people other than Mr. Silverstein are allowed to write them!
Fast forward to 1.1.23 - the 6th poetry collection containing poems by me came out!
TWO TRUTHS AND A FIB by wee words for wee ones and edited by Bridget Magee is full of fun poems about a ton of different topics. Each topic has three poems - two of the poems are true and one is a lie or fib! AND it also ties into the mathematical concept of the Fibonacci Sequence - 1,1,2,3,5,8,13... for a math and poetry nerd like me win, win, win!

So, question what you think you don't like. It's never too late to change your mind.
