Ok, now that I got a Quarantine, Stay-at-Home, Shelter-in-Place joke out of the way, I can move on.
I've learned a lot over the course of this pandemic, but one of the most valuable lessons came while tucking in my younger son last night.
After kisses and prayers, I lingered and asked questions about his favorite sleep companion.
His name is Avocado.
Avocado is very cool.
He has an avocado voice (high and squeaky)
with an avocado accent. (duh!)
He says "smawsh" instead of "smoosh."
I should never, ever say smawsh to an avocado,
because that is offensive.
The moral of this story is: Kids are awesome.
It is a whacky, messy, topsy turvy time, but I hope you are getting time to stop and smell the avocados.
